Villa Eleftherna is a superb rural hideaway set amid magnificent natural beauty, located in the picturesque village of Eleftherna in the Rethymno region. Tucked away on a quiet village lane, the villa is far more than a country cottage or a holiday home. Built on the highest point of the village, it offers breathtaking views of the Cretan Sea, Mount Psiloritis, and the surrounding landscape. Private yet not remote, Villa Eleftherna is just steps from the village square, where traditional taverns, cafés, and a mini-market can be found.

Layout

The 190 m², two-storey villa is stone-built in a traditional style and comfortably accommodates up to 8 guests in its four bedrooms, with the option to host up to 10 if required. The villa is decorated in a romantic countryside style and is classically furnished, featuring wooden furniture and traditional wooden ceilings throughout.

Ground floor 

Upon entering the villa, you are welcomed into an open-plan living area that opens into a cosy sitting room featuring two comfortable sofas, a 55" Smart TV with Netflix (villa account), a Bluetooth speaker, and an open fireplace. Adjacent to the lounge area is the fully equipped kitchen, which also includes a dining table.

Both the living room and the kitchen offer direct access to a spacious veranda, providing an additional outdoor dining area with mesmerising countryside views. From here, a few steps lead down to the pool and garden area.

Additionally, two of the villa’s bedrooms are located on the ground floor. One bedroom features a king-size bed (1.80 x 2.00), while the second offers two single beds (0.90 x 2.00) that can be joined to form a king-size bed. Both bedrooms have direct access to the rear of the villa, opening onto a furnished outdoor area with patio furniture and tranquil garden views. A family bathroom with a bathtub is conveniently located between the two bedrooms.

First Floor

Reaching the first floor, guests will find the villa’s remaining two bedrooms. One bedroom features a queen-size bed (1.60 x 2.00) and includes a charming loft area, while the second bedroom offers two single beds (0.90 x 2.00) that can be joined to form a king-size bed (1.80 x 2.00).

Both bedrooms enjoy direct access to an expansive veranda with panoramic views of the Cretan Sea and the surrounding countryside. Overlooking the garden, the veranda is furnished with additional seating areas, ideal for relaxation.

An additional family bathroom with a Jacuzzi bathtub is also located on this level.

Outdoor Area 

After descending a few steps from the ground-floor veranda, guests can reach the beautifully landscaped outdoor area of the Villa. More specifically, the exterior spaces provide several facilities, including:

- A private 40 m² swimming pool, complete with a removable volleyball net for endless fun with family and friends. The pool can also be heated with an additional daily charge for the entire stay, and it requires at least one week’s advance notice. 

- The pool area is equipped with sun beds, umbrellas and an outdoor shower for your comfort. The terrace also enjoys beautiful countryside views!

- Fully equipped BBQ facilities with an outdoor sink and wood oven, next to an outdoor dining area under the shade of the trees. 

- Beautiful garden, with flowers, shrubs, fruit trees and lawn covered areas around the pool, ideal for the kids to play. Also, a hammock is available under the trees, just the perfect spot for relaxation.

- Parking inside the Villa premises for 3 cars

- 4 mountain bikes and light hiking equipment (batons) are provided, so you can explore the area around the Villa.

- The whole outdoor area is fenced and has a private entrance with a gate, offering 100% privacy to our guests.
