Villa Salis villa is a 155 m2 stone-built cottage, originally built in 1955 and renovated in 2014 to its current form. Located in a narrow street in the village of Gonia, just 10 km away from Rethymno city and beach, this cozy villa can accommodate 8 guests in its 4 bedrooms and up to 10 people if necessary. Also, just 100 meters away from the villa you can find a famous local tavern, where you can taste authentic Cretan cuisine and interact with the locals.
Layout
The main property consists of an open plan area including the seating area, office, indoor dining table next to the fireplace and the fully equipped kitchen. The room also offers a comfortable sofa and armchair, TV and Playstation 3. Additionally, two of the bedrooms, one with a king size bed and one with two single beds can be found in this area, along with a bathroom with a bathtub, shower and washing machine.
Furthermore, the two remaining bedrooms are independent and separated from the main building, each one with its own entrance, king size bed and en-suite bathroom (one of the bathrooms is equipped with a bathtub, while the other one with a shower).
The whole house is furnished with high-quality branded furniture, electric devices and orthopedic mattresses. Air-conditioning is only in the living room area but the house is stone built and the house can keep its cool temperature.
Outdoor area
The outdoor area is beautifully landscaped and enraptures the spirit of living in the Cretan countryside. More specifically, the outdoor area includes:
- A 12 sqm. private swimming pool equipped with comfortable sunbeds and a gazebo.
- A 3-seater hot tub
- Pergola providing shade for the outdoor dining area and gas BBQ.
- Spacious lawn covered garden, ideal for the kids to play
